Ministries

Our music ministry is growing and is exciting. We feature a lot of different styles of music from traditional hymns to southern gospel to contemporary to praise and worship. Our choir meets on Sunday evening at 5:00 pm for practice. Our music ministry truly sets the tone for our worship.

Our prayer ministry is a dynamic part of our church. It is an active ministry that constantly lifts up those who are sick and lost. We do this through a prayer chain and through the Upper Room. The Upper Room is a Prayer Chapel set up in our Sanctuary building for those who wish to come and pray anytime the building is open. Our Prayer chain is active everyday for immediate needs and concerns

Stewardship is a ministry that often gets overlooked. We realize that we are to be good stewards of the things and the talents we have been given. Ms. Christine Lane and our finance team do a great job of being good stewards. A steward is a manager of the assets of the owner. We believe that God is the owner of it all and has placed a portion of His assets under our responsibility. Therefore we take seriously the Stewardship Ministry of our Church.

We have a heart for missions in our church. We give to missions through our Southern Baptist Convention by giving to the Cooperative Program, Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, Annie Armstrong Easter Offering. Janie Chapman State Mission offering, and through individual support of other missionaries around the world. We also have several unique ministries such as our sewing ministry called Touching Hearts for Jesus. Many people within our church are involved in this dynamic ministry which sews blankets and bears for police officers to carry in case of shock for those involved in car crashes. We also minister in the hospital by making bears for children, neck pillows and regular pillows for adults, and blankets, smocked dresses, and gowns for premature babies that are too small for store bought clothes. We are also involved with the Seaman's Ministry in Charleston. Volunteers crochet hundreds of seaman's caps each year that go out from the port in Charleston with the message of Christ in their language. These ministries truly do touch hearts for Jesus. Touching Hearts for Jesus Sewing Ministry meets in the Fellowship Hall, 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month at 1 pm - Open to ALL!  Ms. Pat Wood is our director.

Music Ministry - Ms. Sandra Conley

Our youth ministry is also a key focus of our church.  We meet every Sunday Night in our youth room for Bible Study and fellowship.  We plan many different activities throughout the year for our youth such as Youth Retreats, other fun activities, and missions projects.

The Children's ministry of our church is at the heart of our ministry.  We have Sunday School, Children's sermons, Children's church (for both Sunday services), and Awana every Wednesday night throughout the school year. We plan other activities throughout the year for our children.

Education is a vital part of any church. We have trained teachers for all ages. We are committed to teaching the Bible and leading people to the truth of the scripture. We are teaching men and women, boys and girls about salvation in Christ Jesus.

Men's Ministry - Mr. John Davis,  Jr.

Our Men's Ministry is led by Mr. John Davis, Jr.  This ministry has been grounded in Bible Study and is branching out into prayer ministry and missions to our community.

Young at Heart is our ministry to individuals who are 50 and over.  This group meets once a month for food and fellowship. It has been a tremendous blessing to our church. Each month we meet to fellowship together and do things that meet the needs of our Senior adults. We have Bible studies, fun times, and informational things that pertain to senior adults.
